Rio Themed Party

Finally, i was looking for some ideas for a Rio Themed Party, my husband is brazilian and i love the tropical, colorful Rio. this Party is from Styled by Belle  but i saw it in kara's Party Ideas. they didn't disappoint, every detail is beautiful, hope you like it too..

This is what Styled By Belle said about this Amazing Party. As told in Kara's Party Ideas.

“I recently styled a party for the 4 year old daughter of Australian photographer, Lee Bird Photography, who shoots many of the sweets tables of Aussie stylists. Lee’s daughter Mia wanted a “Rio” themed party (based on the kid’s movie). We didn’t want to create a commercial themed event, so instead focused on creating a bright tropical “Carnival” feel that Rio de Janeiro is so well known for.

The colour scheme was a bright palette of red, yellow, blue & green. A multi-coloured ruffle tablecloth was used for the linen and bright paper fans on the backdrop. I made tropical trees out of fresh pineapples and styled it using fresh fruit and hibiscus flowers, and these framed the table. Leoni from Just Call Me Martha made a gorgeous 2-tiered cake with the character “Blu” (the blue macaw bird) made of fondant on top. Juli from One Sweet Girl baked a delectable range of cupcakes and cookies – including some very cute “piƱata cookies” that once the kids cracked open out came mini m&m chocolates. There were also cute blue parrot sugar cookies. Other sweet treats included layered jelly pots decorated with paper umbrellas, multi-coloured macarons, mini fruit tarts, bright cake pops and lots of tropical coloured candy.

There was also a beverage station that had iced water with berries & oranges and well as tropical fruit punch served in drink dispensers sitting atop rustic crate and coconuts. Drinks were served in cute yellow pineapple drink bottles, and mini glass bottles with fabric flowers decorating the paper straws.

For the kids place settings, I put together green leaf trays for the plate, pineapple drink bottles and a goodie box with Carnival feather masks. Inside the kids favour boxes was a flower lei, bubbles, maracas, whistle blower & tropical coloured sunglasses.

At the entrance to the party, I hung a tropical flower garland for the kids to pass through.”
